Your Google Business Profile has a posts feed built right into it, and most owners in Cleburne and Burleson have never once opened it. It works like a little social feed that shows up on your listing when people find you. Almost nobody uses it, which is exactly why using it at all pushes you ahead of the shop down the road.
What Google Posts actually are
When someone searches your name or your trade near Fort Worth, your Google listing pops up with your phone, hours, reviews, and photos. Posts are the part underneath that you control like a bulletin board. A finished job, an offer, a plain answer to a common question. They tell Google the business is alive, and Google pushes alive listings up the map results.
How to post in five minutes
- Sign in at business.google.com, or open your profile in the Google Maps app.
- Tap Add update. You get a photo slot, a text box, and an optional button like Call now or Learn more.
- Add a real photo, write two to four plain sentences, pick a button, hit publish. That is the whole job.
What to post (steal this rotation)
- Job of the week: a photo of finished work and one sentence about it. Strongest post type for a trade business, period.
- An offer: whatever you are running this month. These can show as a coupon-style card.
- A plain answer: take a question customers always ask and answer it in three sentences.
- Proof of life: new truck, new hire, holiday hours. Boring is fine. Boring says open and busy.
How often is enough
Once a week is excellent. Once a month is still more than most of your competitors in Berwyn or Cicero are doing. The businesses that treat this like a five-minute Monday habit are the ones that slowly climb the map pack while everyone else wonders why the phone stopped ringing.

I am the online visibility guy. If you would rather someone handle the posts, the reviews, and the whole listing every week so you can go do the actual work, that is what I do. Come see the guides and the plans at badhabit.design.
