Short answer: the Facebook page is fine. It is just not findable. Here is what we mean.
Who sees a Facebook page
People who already know your name and search it inside Facebook. That is it. A new customer searching Google for what you DO (not who you ARE) almost never lands on your page, and AI tools like ChatGPT rarely recommend businesses that only exist on Facebook, because they cannot read most of it.
The algorithm owns your reach
Post to your 800 followers and Facebook shows it to 40 of them. Your page is a billboard in a building Facebook owns, and they decide who walks past it.
What a website does that a page cannot
- Shows up in Google searches for your services and city
- Gets read and recommended by AI search tools
- Holds your reviews, services, hours, and booking in one place you own
- Cannot be suspended by an algorithm having a bad day
Keep the Facebook page. It is good for regulars and community. But it is the side door. A website is the front door, and right now your building does not have one.
